Laundry Room Peg Board
After trying to find storage solutions for our frequently used mops and cleaning tools I decided a laundry room peg board would be the most practical solution. Obviously, though it had to fit with my current Laundry Room decor, so this is what I did.
First, I purchased a 24″x48″ piece of peg board from my local home improvement store. To spruce it up, I asked my husband to spray paint it with Rustolueum’s Lagoon color. Spray painting is a no-no when you’re pregnant so he has become my spray-painting guru.
After that was completed, I used 1×2’s cut to 48″ to hang my peg board. A long level and measuring tape will be your friend. Doing this allows the hooks to easily be placed without hitting the wall. I also made sure to find the studs before hanging my peg board to ensure it would be secure. 3 inch screws and washers complete the installation.
Finally, an organized, yet beautiful way to keep track of all those cleaning tools. 🙂
