Hurricane Harvey Aftermath — 4 Comments

  1. I am so sorry! However, your faith is inspiring! The Lord is Good!
I often think what is God trying to teach us (with the hurricanes and fires).
My son and sister live in Corpus Christi (I am Texan but live in Colorado) they dodge the bullet there! Praise God your family is safe.

  2. I know this is late, but we too had to evacuate for Harvey. In our case, ‘they’ forgot to evacuate us until 3 in the morning. There’s nothing like looking out from your deck at your now waterfront property (we live 1 1/2 miles from Lake Conroe). It was a scary couple of days, staying with friends in Huntsville and two puppies. I managed to pack the baby books and documents, but forgot underwear! How does that happen. We took a few minutes and put everything we could think of in the attic. Thank God we didn’t flood and the waters receded in those two days. It was scary and I don’t like the rain as much as I used to. My husband constantly reminds me that that situation required 51 inches of rain to get where it was…still…glad you’ve got past that.

    • I’m glad you guys got out safely and avoided any major catastrophe. It is truly a humbling feeling to leave all your worldly possessions behind not knowing if anything will be there when you return. I don’t think I’ll ever be the same after that experience. **hugs**
